Before you wrap your mind around Dem state reps being MORE PROTECTIVE of state’s rights than our SC legislators, let me give you some context. A Democrat House Rep on the floor of the Colorado Statehouse today said this about college women protecting themselves from rape on campus H/T Dana Loesch at Redstate:

“It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the whistles. Because you just don’t know who you’re gonna be shooting at. And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop … pop around at somebody.”

So it’s NOT like Colorado Democrats are any less idiotic than regular ones. Which makes the following even more repugnant. Remember last week when 5 Republicans in Columbia voted with the Democrats NOT TO PROTECT SC citizens from indefinite detention via the Obama administration? To refresh, those 5 were Paul Campbell, Raymond Cleary, John Courson, Hugh Leatherman, Billy O’Dell.

Check this out concerning the Colorado NDAA Nullification Bill HB13-1045:

Today, the Colorado State House Committee on State, Veterans and Military Affairs took up HB13-1045, which was introduced by Representative Jared Wright. After some sharp discussion and debate, the committee approved the bill in a bipartisan vote. Four republicans joined three democrats in voting yes and the final tally was 7-4.

So … in South Carolina Republicans join Democrats to prevent citizens from being protected from indefinite detention. In Colorado, Democrats join Republicans to PROTECT citizens from indefinite detention.
